      一举两得 Yìjǔ-liǎngdé

      一 yì: one                         

      举 jǔ: act    

      两 liǎng: two                       

      得 dé: gains

      一举两得 Yìjǔ-liǎngdé: means ‘to kill two birds with one stone’.

      Examples

      1. 

      Wǒmen yīnggāi duō qí zìxíngchē, jì kěyǐ duànliàn shēntǐ, yòu kěyǐ jiǎnshǎo wūrǎn, zhēnshi yìjǔliǎngdé. 

      我们应该多骑自行车,既可以锻炼身体,又可以减少污染,真是一举两得。

      2. 

      A: Wǒ xiǎng shǔjià de shíhòu zhù zài zhōngguó rén de jiālǐ, jì kěyǐ duànliàn kǒuyǔ, yòu kěyǐ liǎojiě zhōngguó rén de shēnghuó. 

      A: 我想暑假的时候住在中国人的家里,既可以锻炼口语,又可以了解中国人的生活。

      B: Nà zhēnshi yìjǔliǎngdé de hǎo zhǔyì!

      B: 那真是一举两得的好主意!

      Wǒ zǎoshang wèi le bù làngfèi shíjiān, yībiān tīng yīngyǔ yībiān xiě zuòyè, zhēnshi yìjǔliǎngdé. 

      我早上为了不浪费时间,一边听英语一边写作业,真是一举两得。

      Tā jiànyì zài huāng shānpō shàng zhòngzhí guǒshù, zhèyàng jì néng zēngjiā shōurù, yòu néng měihuà huánjìng, kěyǐ yìjǔliǎngdé. 

      他建议在荒山坡上种植果树,这样既能增加收入,又能美化环境,可以一举两得。
